Lynnette, Hillary, and I did Finding Battlestar Galactica at the request of Peter Lynch at Sourcebooks. (We had suggested a book on 24.) It would be published as the fourth and final season of BSG went to air.
Like Saving the World, Finding Battlestar would be a hybrid. Lynnette would write most of the chapters; I would author most of the "Jumps" (brief considerations of subjects like "The Face of Edward James Olmos" and "The Swirl, or the Intertextual Battlestar"); Hillary would contribute her share. But the book would have guest essays as well: by David Kociemba, Sean Hockett, Chris Smiley, Justin Door, Ewan Kirkland. Finding Battlestar would also include two interviews: a reprint of Heather E. Ash's interview with BSG co-creator Ronald D. Moore ("The Next Generation: Battlestar Galactica Reimagines Deep Space") and my interview with "Water" (BSG 1.2) director Marita Grabiak.
It was a fun book to write and is, we hope, equally enjoyable (and informative) to read.
